Specific Interests

My current research focuses on how elemental availability affects evolution of Poecillid fish in extreme habitats. Specifically, I study the organismal stoichiometry of Poecilia mexicana populations inhabiting sulfidic and cave habitats in southern Mexico. Ecological stoichiometry allows for a way to quantitatively study ecological pressures on organisms.
