The Environmental Monitor covered PhD student Dale Daniels' research on playa wetland conservation that was recently publised in Environmental Science and Technology.  Playa wetlands are vital ecosystems in international service delivery.  Daniels' study was designed to evaluate the extent of wetland volume loss in playas embedded in dominant land-use types, including the Conservation Reserve Program in the High Plains, U.S.
