Specific Interests
The research and area of interest I have are centered around
wildlife conservation and behavior. My main area of expertise involves applied
behavior. Graduate students working with me study both free ranging and captive
animals: endangered species and subspecies, vertebrates, Xenarthra, primates,
ungulates, bats, birds, and fish. A number of my graduate students have worked
at both the Oklahoma City and Tulsa Zoos. I am also interested in international
wildlife conservation and encourage the efforts of international students, as
well as research outside of the United States.
